How can we help?

Email support@knaizen.com. A person reads every message, usually within two working days. Publisher takedown requests are handled within 24 hours.

Restore a subscription

• MyNews has no account: your subscription belongs to your Apple Account.
• On a new iPhone or after reinstalling, make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple Account, then open the app's Settings and tap Restore Purchases.
• Family Sharing members, where available, can do the same from their own iPhone.

Cancel or change a subscription

• On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Knaizen MyNews. The app's Settings also has a Manage Subscription button that opens the same page. We cannot cancel it for you.
• Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends to avoid the next charge. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are decided by Apple; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Report a story

• Open the story and tap Report a problem. Your mail app opens a pre-filled email to us with the story's ID and link; add a line on what is wrong (a wrong label, a missing or unneeded warning, a broken link, a story that isn't news) and send it.
• We fix labels and remove junk at the source, so the fix reaches every copy of the app at its next refresh.
• If a story is factually wrong, the publisher is the one who can correct it; we will also tell them if you like.

Suggest a source or topic

Email us the outlet's name and website, and the topic it fits. We add a source only if it has named editors and a corrections policy, is not state-controlled propaganda or a content farm, and its feed carries real reporting. We may also need the publisher's permission. We reply either way.

Stories don't update

• Pull down on Today to refresh. The top of the feed shows when it was last updated.
• Stories arrive within about 15 minutes of a publisher posting them. Offline, the app shows the stories it already has.
• On Free, each topic shows its latest 15 stories from the last 48 hours; Pro shows the full last 7 days.

The daily briefing doesn't arrive

• The briefing is a Pro feature. Check the time in the app's Settings, and that notifications for Knaizen MyNews are allowed in your iPhone's Settings, Notifications.
• A Focus mode can hold the briefing back until the Focus ends.

Sensitive stories

Images on sensitive stories stay blurred until you tap Show. To hide distressing stories completely, turn on Hide distressing stories in the app's Settings; the feed then says how many were hidden, and you can still show them.

For publishers: takedown and corrections

• MyNews shows your headline, at most a short excerpt where your terms allow it, your name, and a link to your site. Images appear only where you allow them. We never copy full articles.
• To remove a story, an image, the excerpt or your whole feed, email support@knaizen.com from an address at your organisation with the link (or your feed address) and what you want removed.
• We remove it within 24 hours of your email, and it disappears from every copy of the app at its next refresh. We confirm by reply.
• To be added, or to set attribution or usage conditions for your feed, write to the same address. We are glad to follow them.
